About Project
Displacement is a conceptual art project exhibited at Mixer Art Gallery, exploring the irreversible effects of gentrification. The work investigates how transformation reshapes not only physical spaces but also memory, culture, and collective identity.
Through augmented reality and motion-based storytelling, the project challenges the illusion of urban “renewal,” revealing the invisible layers of time, loss, and social capital embedded within place.
Project Goal
To critically examine gentrification as a multidimensional displacement—of people, history, and cultural memory—through an immersive visual narrative.
Visualize the invisible consequences of urban transformation.
Create an emotionally engaging AR-driven experience.
Translate sociopolitical critique into an accessible artistic format.
